T3i Video at 1080 wobbles?
Hi,
I bought a canon t3i 600D. when i shoot at 1080/25fps i feel as if the video lags. Check : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V1avg0MzYoUBut when i shoot at 720/50fps the wobble seems to reduce.
I am not shooting fast action or movement so its not the jello effect im experiancing.
The video above shows the wobble on my slider, but the same applies on my tripod when panning.
Any ideas?

That kind of camera move, at that speed is not suited to 24p, 25p or 30p progressive scan, it’s much too fast.
This is why 50p or 60p looks better.

Wow. What can 24!25fps be used for?
The video I posted I’s a bit fast. But it’s because I started to get annoyed.
But even when gently panning I feel a similar wobble. All be it slightly better than the video posted but deffinately visible. -
Yup- that’s one of the primary drawbacks of a slower CMOS chip optimized for stills. You want that effect to go away completely- spring for a RED or an ALEXA. Once you realize the bargain you’re getting with the Canon- you’ll learn to live with it and take shots in ways to minimize the effect like the rest of us. 🙂

Does that mean upgrading to a 7D or even a 5D mkII will do the same?

hey iv just seen videos of 5d mkIIs
and they seem to pan alot faster and alot better.
Is this problem im experiencing due to my camera aswell?I understand what you guys are saying, that the CMOS chip in these are not very good for pan/s;ide as its too fast, but has the 5d mkII have a chip suited slightly better to do this
