  i recently purchased a macbook pro 17′ i7 with solid state drive and a canon t2i -what must i buy to connect them to make my computer be a live monitor
  and allow me to capture into adobe premier?

  Nothing, install the Canon software that came with your camera and you will find how-to videos on the Web for tethered shooting with your T2i
