  • Tamron Lens on T2i?

Posted by Bob Tanner on March 11, 2011 at 10:41 am

I ordered a T2i and I have two Tamron lenses. First is a Tamron SP 28-105mm 1:2.8 and the second one is a Tamron 28-300mm lens 1:3.5-6.3 (Macro). Are they going to work out, or do I need an adapter?

    Thanks,
    Zevie

Are the Tamron lenses EOS mounts? If so yes they will fit.

If thet are another brand, Nikon or Pentax for instance you can most likely make them work with a suitable adaptor.

The 28-105 is a good lens for HDSLR video work. The 28-300 will work but it doesn’t have a constant iris function, which means as you zoom the exposure will change.
