  • Jagged Edges on 3D Motion Graphic – Perfectly Fine in 2D

    Hey all,

So new question in regards to my motion graphic. Have rasterized PS graphic that I image traced in Illustrator to make a vector for AE. No problems; all is smooth. Made the text in AE, again, no problems and all is smooth.

But I make it all 3D in ray-trace, pre-comp with my lighting, bring back into the classical renderer and export in 3D. The edges of everything are jagged – in fact the text is more jagged than the logo. But if I export it as 2D, everything is fine and smooth. In the AE preview it looks jagged as well, but I overlooked this while building, initially thinking it was just my preview settings.

Anyone have any clue what is going on and how to fix it? The only thing I found online so far was to try changing the levels in 32-bit white to “On”, but that didn’t do anything.

    Thanks!

BTW: I pre-comped and brought back into classical because I needed to track matte the text behind the logo. In case anyone was wondering.
