Is this possible with sequences?
I’m trying out CatDV as a cataloguing and browsing supplement to Avid & Premiere Pro editing. I have demo versions of Server / Worker node / Pegasus & all is setup and working fairly well.
Can I do any/all of the following?
1. Auto Stringout Sequence? e.g. all clips that start ABCD with creation date of XYZ in one stringout sequence (may have to have a choice of alphabetical by name or ascending timecode but we are mostly time of day), either in Pegasus or as a Worker node. Currently I’m doing it by using quick filter and sorting by name.
2. Match frame within a sequence to get back to the source clip? (e.g. I have manually created stringout and shuttle around it to find a shot – I can’t see any easy way to identify source clip/source timecode.
3. As an alternative – an option to overlay source clip name & timecode on a sequence? (i.e. not burnt in, a dynamically generated overlay)
Obviously a workaround is to create proxies with burnin and use those, but this job I’m trying it out on has way too much material for that!
Thanks for any help
