  Metadata in CatDV

  Hi all,

  I wonder if it is possible to enter specific metadata fields (there are quite a lot of fields actually) with CatDV into one clip so that the client can read it from the video clip.

  Many thanks and excuse my ignorance in this matter… never worked with metadata before.

  Hi, generally CatDV has a policy of not writing back to source media, so there is no chance we can damage original footage.

  However CatDV’s Worker can write metadata back into source files using a workflow with the excellent exiftool.
