  Still need help with Writing with lights tutorial

  I learning the interesting light tutorial that was written by Mark Simpson “Write it with Light” However, I’ve only had Adobe After Effects for a week…and I can’t figure out how to change my playback mode to animate strokes and how to do the composite paint to inverse matte change. Can anyone help me out?

  You should be using the Vector Paint effect, which is only available in the Pro version of AE, if I recall. Those controls that you mention are in the Vector Paint effect’s controls palette. Hit F3 to reveal the controls palette for a layer that has had effects applied.
