  Flickering/shimmering text

  Is there an effect for flickering/shimmering text? Basically I am trying to animate text on starry night sky, and I want the texts’ shimmering to resemble that of stars. I spend half an hour on Youtube searching, but I haven’t found one.

  To affect the edges you could use Roughen Edges with animation. A animated glow can add to it.
