  Evenly distribute text layers

  Is there any script or method within After Effects to evenly space text layers of different sizes. The in built distribute functions do not take into account different word lengths.
  What i’m after, ideally, is a script like the one for Photoshop here … https://morris-photographics.com/photoshop/scripts/distribute-horizontally.html

  Here’s a search in AEScripts which uses the term “distribute” – since your link doesn’t work, I can’t see exactly what you’re going for, so take a look at these choices:

  Looks to me as if Distribute Layers, or Layers2Grid might be helpful. Short of something like that, sometimes you just have to roll up your sleeves and eyeball it. I always find that the Align and Distribute tools always need some hand tweaking.

  Thank you but unfortunately they don’t do what i’m after. I want to be able to select a number of text layers which are spread along the same horizontal axis in 2D. After applying a suitable script the end two layers remain in place and the ones in between distribute so that the gaps are the same.
