  Change ellipse shape layer to rectangle

  I have created an after effects composition which is basically shapes and text moving/zooming in and out. However, I now need to change all the ellipse shapes to rectangles – they move around in a path and change size, position etc as well as holding text. How do I simply change the ellipse shape layer to a rectangle without removing any of the properties? Thank you

  Make the rectangle shape you need, twirl open the contents and copy the rectangle path and paste it into the ellipse contents. Move it to the top of the stack then delete ellipse path.
