  Resolve Hiccup on edits

  Hello guys,

  i have a question about GUI Real Time Playback.

  I’am experiencing that my resolve has problems with realtime playback when it comes to an edit in the timeline, but just on the GUI Monitor.
  When the playhead switches between two cuts, the Viewer of the GUI Monitor has a short freeze on every edit, it looks like resolve has a hiccup… between the cuts resolve runs fine.
  On my Grading Monitor via my Deckling Card everything is fine Realtime Playback without any hiccup, just the GUI.
  I allready minimized interface update during playback, that helps, but it’s still not perfect.

  I don’t know if a bigger GUI Card would help with more GPU Power or if it is a cache problem… i also thought of a problem with the CPU?
  Did somebody experience that before?

  MY GUI is running on a NEC 30 Zoll, with 2560×1600

  My System.
  ASUS Z9 PE-D8 WS Workstation Motherboard
  2x 12 Core Intel E5 2,4 ghz
  GUI: GeForce GTX 1050 Ti Mini 4GB – Zotac
  Resolve: GeForce GTX 1080 8GB – Gainward
  Blackmagic Stereo3D Deck Link Card
  PCIe SSD Raid

  Do you have any cache-ing or proxy options enabled?

  No Caching or Proxy Modes are enabled.

  If i do enable Caching or proxy, the problem persists…
  If i go to half res, the problem also persists.

  Resolve is running Realtime at 25fr… my monitor output is fine… just the Gui Viewer ticks out.

  Is it possible to add a second GPU in your system? I would bet that would improve performance, provided you have a slot available and your operating system can handle it. There are always prices to pay to get real-time performance, but it can be done to a point.
