So I know this is probably something very simple. I am learning Resolve, currently trying to figure out the qualifier and having some problems. I don’t even know how to search for the problem (user error) I am having. It seems like somewhere along the line of wiring up my nodes, the image in the viewer becomes super contrasty and saturated. I know it has something to do with viewing the matte because it disappears when I deselect the highlight button in the qualifier, but then the image just becomes grey. I can’t seem to figure out how to view my matte selection with everything wired up. I’ve attached a screenshot, can anyone tell me what is happening?

Without really knowing what is going on in your elaborate node tree, it is possible you are using a composite additive combiner that is doubling up the image.
