I have a 2 yr old 27″ 3.4 GHz i& iMac. Just downloaded the new v10 beta. My source footage is almost all 4K.

Even after transcoding to ProResProxy (4K) I still cannot get my footage to play back in realtime. There is always a ‘stutter’ with playback hovering around 10fps.

Is there some project setting I can enable that might permit this?

What has me concerned is that even in PremierePro will play back 4k footage in realtime on my machine, as long as no effects are applied and no other apps are running.
Why should PremierePro perform better than resolve when I don’t even have a CUDA enabled graphics card?
