Boland HDMI 32 Monitor
Posted by Jordan Mena on February 27, 2013 at 7:20 pmI’m thinking of taking the money plunge and shelling out for a Boland HDMI 32″ broadcast monitor. I am using the BM Ultrastudio Mini Monitor as my I/O. Anyone have any experience with this monitor? Is it a good purchase?
Thanks, J

Have to admit I needed to google it. Doesn’t get discussed much, and no one is claiming it to be a grade-class device. For the price, another $600 bucks gets you a Flanders 2461 (which is a grade-qualified display) with: SDI inputs, DVI, etc., all the on-screen scopage and audio displays that you could want, plus a commitment from the manufacturer to keep updating the software and a general obsession with getting it right.

February 27, 2013 at 8:05 pmI went to the Flanders site. $5,000!!! Also, they only have up to 24″. I would prefer a 32″. Are there other options?

You’re going to hear from the moderators about that one.
