  • Resolve loses mouse control of windows and color picker

    Hi,

Did a search and came back with one thread that mentions this, but no solutions.

We have a project on Resolve for Mac 8.2. Lion 10.7.2.

It’s a five reel Red show, about 90 min. All five reels are in one project file.

Without an obvious reason, all of a sudden the colorist can not move windows with the mouse or use the color picker in the Qualifier.

If we load a previous project, the mouse control comes back to life. When we go back to the main project, sometimes it comes back, sometimes it does not. We have tried exporting the project and reimporting in different user accounts, but it stays stuck. Only opening a previous project, enabling a window, then closing that and opening the main project will “reset” the mouse control.

Obviously this is a big pain. Any ideas?

    Thanks.

Can send us an export of the project at davincihelp (at) blackmagic-design.com?

    Thanks,
    Anish

I have sent you the project file you requested.

I fixed the system permissions last night as well, and today, the project opened up stuck again. Opening a previous project, enabling a power window, closing that project and then opening the main project “unstuck” the mouse control.

    Thanks for your assistance.

Thanks to BM email support, it appears that this problem is brought on by having multiple playheads active in the project. Toggling the source and VTR boxes brought the window and color picker back to life.

    Thanks for the help.

Does this mean that you have to keep toggling? Is there a way to stop it happening?
