    dear all!

i was very excited when i read that exporting alpha gets finally supported!
but, today i tried it and was completely disappointed. it does only work when
    rendereing “INDIVIDUAL SOURCE CLIPS” 🙁

in other words, what doesn’t work is rendering a TITLE-track of a project, or a
SUBTITLE-track in prores4x4. when delivering masters i like to give my customers
those tracks, as it is an easy way to add subtitles exactly the way we decided them
    to look.
i can deliver one cleanfeed track, one title track, several subtitle tracks, and several
audio tracks, all with the same TC and length, and therefore in sync. every editor can
use this file years later with a variety of NLEs.

but well, i have to wait for this feature in resolve. fcp7 can do this, by the way.

please bear in mind that many colorists would also like to master within resolve and
therefore such a feature would be great!

please, kindly hear my petition, which i humly present to you 😉

Import a 4444 clip with an alpha and drop it on TRK 2

and some text title onTRK 3

    All looks good.

Now select 1 or both of the clips on TRK 2 & 3 and make a compound clip.

Now all you get in the compound clip media on black.

Alphas should pass through so they still get composited over TRK 1
