  • Flickering colored frames on export when using blur

Dear CreativeCOWs, I have been using the advice of this site for years, this is the first time I am asking something.

When exporting sequences with blur or sharpening applied, I receive flickering frames in all kinds of colors (red, blue, yellow, magenta). It also appears inside Resolve, not only on export, but it does not ALWAYS appear on the same spot. It appears in every format I am exporting. I already tried exporting it at 1fps, but it does not work. Does anybody have an idea?

    My configuration:

Footage: ProRes 422 HQ, captured on C100 and Atomos Ninja
    Export to: anything

iMac: OSX 10.9.5, Intel Core i5, 8GB Ram
    Software: Resolve 10 Lite
Graphics: Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB

Might be your graphics platform. Resolve has problems with — doesn’t support — built-in Intel chipsets — support for some IrisPro graphics does exist now that I review the new config guide, so it would be worth checking compatibility… or consider R12PublicBetaOne ::winkie::

Often I wonder about opto-spatial processes and Long-GOP/RAW codecs as being a massive massive strain on CPU resources — cacheing these might help with final renders….?

Hey Joseph, the R12 should work with Intel chipsets? I will try installing and using, thanks a lot!
What do you mean with “cacheing”? ATB, Marc
