  Calibrating JVC DT-V24G1 24″

  Hi,

  I’m trying to calibrate a JVC DT-V24G1 24″ monitor with the JVC calibration software. Can anyone advise me on the settings I have to use? Target gamma, luminance & white balance.

  For broadcast rec709 work grading in a dim environment use a target gamma of 2.4, target luminance of 35 ftl / 120 cdm2 and a white temperature of 6500K

  Frans can you explain me how to calibrate DT-V24G1? I have same model and I would like to calibrate it but I dont know how to do it and what do I need :/

  Thanks Toby,

  That’s all I needed to know!! I don’t grade in a dim environment in which it is totally dark. Will the gamma/luminance and white temp will be suitable then?

  Hi Mario,

  You’ll need the JVC calibration software: https://www.jvc-monitor-calibration.com It’s only for PC.

  Then you need the Xrite i1, the OEM version, available at JVC. You need a serial port or USB-to-Serial adaptor for monitor communication and a HDMI to DVI-D cable for the video signal.

  In the software you can use the settings Toby mentioned.
