  Resolve GPU with 1 shared PCIe 3.0 Bus

  Hello, i’m building up a DaVinci Resolve machine based on Windows OS after years on Mac. I can’t afford a workstation level solution based on Xeon E5 CPUs, so i can’t have access to a motherboard with multiple PCIe 3.0 bus lanes (I haven’t found a MB with Z87 chipset for my 4770K with that feature. Is this true?)
  My question is: should I buy the best GPU i can afford (GTX 780Ti) and let it work alone in a PCIe 3.0 16x environment, or is it still better to buy 2 GPU that will work with PCIe 3.0 8x splitting the bus?
  My work is mainly Full HD, but sometime I edit and grade 4k footage, small things like ads and shorts.

  My current idea of configuration is:

  Asus Z87 Deluxe/Quad
  Intel i7-4770K
  RAM Corsair Dominator Platinum 32GB 1600Mhz
  nVidia GTX 780Ti
  WD Black (2013 version) 3x2TB Raid0
  SSD Samsung 840 Pro 256Gb

  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
