  Qualification problem/question

  Hi Guys,

  Here’s the problem i’m experiencing.

  When I have Output LUT applied in the settings, also perform RAW tab adjustments and couple of nodes that take care of contrast and brightness adjustments to get the grading started, if after these nodes I try to qualify skin for instance, with the highlight mode turned on, my selection goes back to flat and seems like its not picking the colors correctly (colors outside the qualified range get selected). Can anyone pinpoint where should look into?

  When I say it goes ‘flat’, I mean that highlight mode shows image before the output LUT is applied. Though I would like to pick colors from image that has correct contrast and leveled in colors (meaning with LUT applied), but without applying the LUT in any other place than output LUT.

  Is this possible?

  I guess I’m not doing anything wrong and there is no problem at all. This is correct behavior of davinci. Thank you anyway.

  I think maybe your node order is wrong?

  Your question might reveal a complete lack of knowledge of how to use DaVinci, or your system is acting up, so you should restart
