  • Get rid of PTZR info imported with XML

Posted by Guillem Ventura on March 17, 2013 at 12:16 pm

I am working on a timeline imported from a FCP XML.
    Red Epic footage.
It had some Motion settings in the edited clip. So there’s Zooms and scalings I’d like to get rid of.

Apparently there’s no way to get back to the full-frame picture, since it won’t show up in the PTZR settings nor the RED ones…
Rendering with the “Disable Input Sizing” checkmark won’t help.

Re-exporting an XML from an unscaled sequence and running ColorTrace is an option, but I’d rather not if there’s a way…
    Ideas, anyone?

    Thanks!

I think you can right-click on the color page thumbnail, and choose to not use the sizing. There should be a checkbox.

I think you can also re-import the same xml and uncheck ‘use sizing’ in the import menu.

    Thanks Rohit!

There’s a “Use sizing information from XML” check right-clicking on the clip at the Color timeline.

Pepijn, thanks for the info, but I’d rather not re-conform everything again.
Color-tracing timelines won’t keep the tracks and I had some TC issues with footages differing the project’s timebase that I already worked manually on, so the easy solution of the individual clip-sizing choice saves me a lot of time.

    Cheers 🙂
