  • Possible bug?: “Popping” at Gain/Defocus keyframes when using feathered Windows?

Posted by Mel Matsuoka on March 12, 2013 at 10:03 pm

I could have sworn this used to work without incident in Resolve8, but I’m noticing that when I keyframe the “Gain” parameter in the Defocus channel in R9 (i.e. to “fade in” a correction), that the correction “pops” at the end keyframe when the window has feathering on it.

When you remove Window feathering, however, the “popping” does not occur.

I made a quick screencast to show what’s happening:

This particular example is using RED MX footage, but I haven’t done any tests yet to see if the problem only occurs with R3D media.

    Anyone else seeing this problem?
