    I just finished grading a Red 5K project. I have about 5 timelines of varying lengths. When I go to render certain timelines Resolve will just hang at 1 frame. It just sits there doing nothing. Once in a great while it will render a couple clips and then hang. Can’t figure out a pattern. The shorter timelines render just fine. What I can try?

    Here’s what I’ve done:
    – backed up, restored and optimized my database
    – upgraded from Resolve 8.1.1 to 8.2 (no change)
    – compared clips on both timelines (they are both the same kind of footage)
    – Deleted all offline clips or still frames from the sequence

    I have a Red Rocket card installed with a GTX 470, GT 120, and Black Magic Decklink HD. OSX 10.7.3. Fresh install of Resolve 8.2

    What should I do? Many thanks! I’m under the gun to turn this around asap.

    Try the following to see if it helps:

    Add the following line to the Debug tab in the DaVinci Resolve Preferences widget, then save, then exit Resolve and relaunch.

    System.Record.Lookahead = 5

    Also – can you send a log captured immediately after a hang to our help email – davincihelp (at) blackmagic-design.com

    That debug line appears to have fixed it. Very strange. I could render Half Res but Full Res was a no go. It’s working for now. Thanks so much!
