    Hi!

Today I graded a short documentary with 4 timelines.
It’s all inside a new Database with a unique project that contains our four timelines.
I graded on the first XML export (from FCP7) all four timelines, then the editor sent me the newer version and I Loaded it into Resolve.
Initially everything was Ok, but i noticed that some clips get the grades from other timelines from other files!
I used various version on the same shot, but when I changed the timeline, some untouched clips refers to wrong grade and with 10+ version from a different shot O.o
So i created for example version 11 and so on…
I tried to replicate the issue but now it works correctly… Can’t understand why… And my working project is a madness! eheh

It seems a bug that “associates” different clips with different filenames from different folders to the same grade on the master session…

    Anyone had this problem before?

Most likely not a bug, what I suspect is that some edits in your session are using the same clip at various points throughout your time line.
This will be shown to you with a little red indicator at the top middle of each VSR.
This means that clips shown with the red indicator will inherit the same grade, adding version will also add versions to the red linked clips.

You need to make each clip a “local version”, and break the red link

right click the clip and select “local Versions” – “create new”

might be a reel number issue in the conform..

Did you have to do any manual relinking of the edit in your conform?

yes, initially I loaded the wrong folder from another HDD, but I’m pretty sure that I deleted that session and reloaded the XML.
