  Unlegalised video output

  Does anyone know how to lay to tape without applying the 64-940 clip which DaVinci Performs in Legal Video mode Although my black level is at 64 I don’t want a hard clip.

  I’m working on a film but would like a tape backup. I don’t see any need to have a hard broadcast legal on it even though it’s essentially graded within 64-940 limits.

  It would also be useful for sub masters which may be regraded at a later date.

  You can render with the full unscaled data option on and then in the setup tab just check on the output full range video in the setup for the SDI output on the Decklink card.
