It’s a project with anamorphic film scan materials. All are 1828*1556 DPX from arri scanner. So I setup an anamorphic project, resolution is 1828*1556, pixel ratio is cinemascope. After bring in the dpx files, I found I also need to set the media files pixel aspect ratio to cinemascope. Then I have the right image on screen. But when I tried to track windows, the tracker just floating around, which seems resolve display images in cinemascope but still tracking in non-squeezed image, so the tracker moves double distance vertical. Am I setup the anamorphic project in a wrong way? Or it’s a knowning bug to be fixed?

Anyone got this problem solved? I am having the same issues with cinemascope footage and project. The power windows are just not useful without tracking!! I was key framing them last two days… I have a feeling of one button solution in front of my nose? Is it? where? 😉

    CHEERS!!

Maybe not an ideal workflow, but one way to be able to do a track is to burnin the pixel aspect ratio change.

    Hi,
It is an idea of solving problem when I would finish in digital. But the project is printing back on film stock so it needs to be finished in cinemascope. I did a bit of testing and researcing and I can loose quality in going squere pix and than back in cinemascope.
I am confused isn’t DaVinci used for a lot of big features that are shoot in cinemascope, how the “big guys” are dealing witht this? 🙂

    Cheers,
    Teo
