Feature Suggestion
I’d really love it if I could hook up a foot control like this for shuttle commands:
https://www.fentek-ind.com/FootPedal.htmI find myself moving my hands back and forth quick frequently between the color knobs and the shuttle area when I’m balance out a shot, or moving through a rough first pass, and have foot control for play/pause and next shot/last shot would really speed me up.
Just three pedals (last shot – play/pause – next shot) would rock.

All you need is Midi control and input like in any audio/music production software.
This way you can use any midi device to control parameters. Pedal, midi controllers, midi keyboard etc.
Now you would need a midi to keycommand software between the pedal and resolve. -

I’ve been kicking this idea around for sometime (pun intended). It was one of the “features” I thought about adding to the Element panel range. I just wasn’t sure if enough people would be interested in it.
“Thought” control is on the list too – but that may take awhile 😉

I’d absolutely love thought control, but I’d settle for a foot pedal in the short term.

Can’t you use the foot pedals now, they map to multiple keyboard strokes:
In Resolve you’d need to map
Command Right Arrow= Next Scene
Space Bar = Stop/play
Command Left Arrow= Previous SceneM

Chris…perhaps have a iPhone 4S docking option on the Element panel and we can drive things via Siri ?
