There have been a number of threads about Panasonic Pro Plasmas and how the HD-SDI cards are very expensive but required for 10-bit etc…

Check out the below liquidation for used “HD-SDI Terminal Board model TY-FB9HD for Professional Series Plasma Displays (9-current series)”. From the Olympics.

Panasonic says this is compatible with all Panny Pro Plasmas up to the current series, it just doesn’t do audio like the TY-FB10HD.

    Price is $250 (Canadian).

Wonder if it will work in the 20 series? Says 9 series only.

Well, it says “9-current series” on the website. I wasn’t sure how to read that so I asked their tech support and they said it means “9 through current series”. But perhaps somebody else here knows for sure.

Important to note that those cards are limited to 422 color space and won’t support 1080 60p/50p.

According to my engineer here, it will work in the 8 series to current series.

I just spoke with Panasonic and they said it will work with models up to series 12. He said they won’t work with the newest series 20 models.
