  • HDMI output and 4.4.4.

    Hello,

I’m using a JVC DILA950 (RS25 in US in think), which accept 422, 444 and RGB through HDMI.

But I think HDMI output via BM 3D+ card is limited to 422. So my question is :
1°/ Does BM plan to update the output to 444 (if its even possible)
2°/ Does it exist a converter doing HDSDI to HDMI 444

    Thnak you

    Ok, if found the solution,

    use HI5 converter from AJA.

    I’m buying it

This response from Albert Chu of BMD:

This update to support HDMI 1.3 and 1.4 is only available on the HDLink
DisplayPort 3D. I am under the impression this is due to updated and newer
hardware on the HDLink DisplayPort 3D.

    and

As far as I know, the HDLink Pro will only ever do 8 bit. But I’ll still be happy to re-log this request.

The HDLink DisplayPort I assume uses the same mini display port popular on newer mac graphics cards and macbook pro. Please advise if this is correct. My apologies if this is a stupid question.

I suppose the HDLink DisplayPort 3D would be the adapter to go for rather than the AJA.

    Cheers,

    Hi,

It uses a standard sized DisplayPort and not the mini version used by Apple.
