    Hi There

I just sent a FCP music video project to Resolve and imported the edl and everything lined up perfectly, there are a total of about 50 shots in the whole project with about 10 shots with 110% speed changes.

after the render from resolve I noticed that the speed changes did not translate properly out of resolve, the images do look sped up but steppy, the final length of the project remained correct, and all the none speed change shots worked perfectly

how can I fix this within Resolve, speed changes from final cut, or can’t I

I noticed in the conform page after you’ve enabled editing you get the option to “Change speed of clip”
and this can be changed in FPS instead of % but I get the impression this is a function within Resolve to apply speed changes to shots that have none.

but the thing is that Resolve is applying a speed change to those shots from FCP, but it results in a jagged /steppy effect

the footage is DCVPRO HD 720p and rendering it out of resolve as apple proress 422 1920 x 1080

I have done a side by side of the Resolve render and the original offline copy of the project and they line up perfectly in length and cuts except from the speed changes.

i’m using Resolve 7.0.2 with up to date snow leopard

    12 core macpro 2.93 ghz with 5 internal raid0

    GTX 285 slot 1
    GT120 slot 2
    Decklink extreme 3d slot 3
    RedRocket slot 4

Flanders Scientific LM 2470W for monitoring

    thanks in advance

Resolve does not support “Frame Blending” speed change mode in FCP. It will repeat or drop frames to achieve the desired speed.
