  • Add glow on metal and letters

    Hi,

I heavily relied on plugins to do shine/glow effects triking through letters and on metal surfaces, products etc, but I don’t have them available anymore.
How do you create the same effects with what is available built in?

It is difficult to answer your question, because you don’t tell how the effects differ from the built-in glow effect. An example image might help. Or the name of the plugins you used to use.

Sometimes you just want to have the metall shine a bit more adding some moving highlights or add some moving highlights through letters to attract attention.

You wouldn’t happen to have an old “without vs with” example of the effect?

Was it done as a post effect on the completed render or as an effect using a depth or alpha channel?

The more information you can provide the easier it would be to suggest alternative approaches.

You mean like CC Light Sweep?

Yes, the light sweep is one way.
