    Hello,
My name is Budoor and i`m really into motion graphics so i started looking for resources to learn this summer but recently i`ve seen people recommend that whoever interested in learning motion graphics shouldn`t learn the software first which is in my case, After Effects, but they should learn the elements and principles of design. I can`t see the connection between the two!
can someone tell me how can design principles be the foundation of motion design learning?

Understanding composition, contrast, color harmony and color association, perspective, rhythm, art motif, center of attention, etc. is more important than the ability to use a specific software if one wants to create a professional result in any visual field: photography, illustration, layout, cinematography or motion graphics.

Software skill is secondary to design ability.
