  Can’t add stroke to a composition containing masks

  Hello!

  I have cut several masks and precomposed them. Now I want to add a stroke effect to all the masks in the composition, but the effect doesn’t seem to change anything, when I apply it to the comp. It works on seperate layers withtin the comp, but not on the whole thing. I could add seperate effects on each layer, but there are like 80 of them, and it would be inconvenient :/
  I also tried to use an adjustement layer within the comp, but this doen’t work either.

  Is there anything I can do to make this thing work?

  Effects cannot see inside of comps to what they contain. You’d have to add the effect to each layer inside the comp.

  However, you can use the relatively new Copy with Property Links feature to ensure that all instances of the effect refer back to a single set of controls:
