Making less point on a mask ( Hello first post!)
Hey Everyone this is my first post here.
Been using your helpfully tips for some time and now finally signed up!
I am in need some some help tho, I’m working on morphing to similar Masks Paths together.
They started out as Vector layers then I Auto traced them have they have a lot of points. I was wondering if there is a way to make the Mask have less points, with out manually removing points with the pen tool.
Any ideas welcome as it would save me a lot of time!

Starting with Ae CS6, you can convert vector layers to shape layers directly in the timeline:

Will this lower the amount of points in the shape path tho?

It should match the points to what existed in Illustrator. This will probably be less than what auto trace came up with.
If you need fewer points still, simplify [link] the shape in Illustrator, then convert the vector layer to a shape layer.
