  Illustrator Pathfinder Crop

  Hi all,

  im following this tutorial – https://blog.spoongraphics.co.uk/tutorials/create-a-cute-vector-penguin-character-in-illustrator

  the last step is to add the illusion of feathers to the belly of the character, however, when i pathfinder crop (new belly shape pasted on top of feathers and both items selected) the crop leaves me with just the belly shape and no feathers.

  what am i doing wrong?
