  can’t arrange clipping mask in front of text

  I created a clipping mask with text. Now I want to arrange the clipping mask in front of the original text as result a piece of texture in plain filled text. Arranging one item to foreground/background in the same layer doesn’t work nor separating the two items in different layers. The clipping mask always stays behind the original text.
