Multi-page PDFs in Illustrator
Would like some advice: on my work computer I don’t have InDesign, so if I create a multi-page pdf I use Illustrator. Once I get to about 8-10 artboards everything starts getting sluggish and freezing up on me during saves. I’m about to start a project that’ll be 20 pages min. Any suggestions on how to avoid this? Considered scaling the page sizes down so the final file size wouldn’t be so huge, but some of the pages include imported images (photos and illustrations). If it’s a document for print, what’s a safe size + res to scale down to and still get clear print quality?
This seems like such a simple problem that has a simple solution. Help!
