  • How to Transfer mesh Points and Fills to imported path(s)?, like CorelDRAWs’ Copy Fill

    Hi,

    1) can anyone please describe how to Transfer gradient mesh Points and Fills into Imported path(s)?,

I’ve tried Enveloping meshes into paths and it works, but ONLY if the mesh is Rectangular like its bounding box. Otherwise the resulting envelope contains blank gaps, created from the blank space between the mesh edges and its’ rectangular bounding box.

At, https://www.unleash.com/tom/fills/ ..its shows CorelDRAW can do this via:
    a) “..* Select the object to which you want to copy the properties. Select Edit | Copy Properties..”, OR

    b) right.drag&drop from Mesh to Path, then select “Copy Fill” from the context menu.

perhaps Illustrator has a similar function you all may know of?,

thanks for any help or suggestions,
    J
