  Best Practice in creating custom fonts in Illustrator

  Hi,

  I understand how to create custom fonts in illustrator by creating outlines of text. From searching around it seems like that is the only advice out there.

  When I try and do this my custom fonts come out really bad. I can controle lines in illustrator really well but making fonts look good it pretty hard.

  Can anyone help me out with some best practices when designing custom fonts or manipulating fonts. Tips, tutorials, best practices. Thanks.
