I have a repetitive task I need to do in Illustrator and need to know the best way to handle doing it. I know a little bit of Illustrator but am far from being a master.

I have hundreds of line drawing files that I need have the inner shapes white and the outer shapes black. Some of these line drawings will have as much as 30 different images inside of one single file. Like I said I know a little bit of Illustrator but not much. This task seems like it could take forever, but I have to think that there is an easy way to conquer it.

Below is an example of one file. Note: This file is as easy as it gets. Most have around 50 inner shapes.

Can someone point my to the best way to handle this task? Is there some kind of script or something I can use?

Please let me know if more information is required from my end.
    Thanks

So these are just alternating blacks and whites? Shouldn’t take long even doing this manually, but it will take some time to do it if you are new to Illustrator. Basically, you just need to keep drawing. The more you do it, the easier it gets, but you have to put the time in first.

    Save early. Save often.
