  Printing Image Quality

  Hello Everyone,
  I apologize if this has already been answered. I am an Illustrator beginner to start. I have been making some dvd covers in illustrator and have come across a little issue. Some elements are extremely blocky/pixelated when printed even though they are not that way in the illustrator interface. Some are elements from after effects that I rendered out as PNG or Photoshop images. Others are some photos taken with a Canon 5D MK2. Even though the pics are huge and perfect image quality they still print pixelated. The only things that turn out sharp are the elements I add in illustrator such as text etc. I know there must be something I am doing wrong, process wise. I know Illustrator is huge and can be complicated and I don’t know that much about it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

  what is the DPI of the images you are placing inside of Illustrator? they should all be 300 DPI.

  what version of illustrator are you running.
