  • Make all layers visible without dragging eye icon

Here’s the problem… I’ve got an AI file I’m importing into Illustrator CS6 on the PC. The file is coming from a render in 3DS Max using finaltoons, which will generate an AI file.

The ridiculous thing is that the imported file has all layers locked and invisible! Grrr. Unlocking the layers is simple enough, but this file contains thousands of individual pieces and hundreds of layers. Doing the left mouse button/drag thing over the eye icon takes over 5 minutes of time to go through one file!

Is there some way of either importing the file with all layers visible or some other way to make visible all these layers? I found a script which works on Mac, but I’m on PC without access to a Mac.

    Thanks!
