  • How do I change the colour of placed illustrator file in a different illustrator file?

Posted by Helena Masterson on June 12, 2012 at 12:23 am

I have created a number of separate illustrations in illustrator CS5 and then created a new illustrator file to which I have then brought them into.

After spending a long time arranging the illustrations in this new file, I have decided I would like to change all the black colour to a softer grey. However, since I have placed the objects, I’m finding I dont have the same freedom with this as I would in the original versions. Is there a way I can change the black to grey without having to change each illustration in their separate files, which would mean bringing them in separately again from scratch?

(I placed them as media if that makes a difference?)
