  worldmap vectorgraphic extent border of each country

  Hello lovely community,

  I am working right now on a presentation where I need to show a world map. I’ve bought a vector graphic on this site. https://www.pixmac.de/bild/vereinfachte+weltkarte+schwarz+auf+wei%C3%9Fem+hintergrund+jedes+land+ist+eine+eigene+form+vector/000059136235

  But as you can already see in the preview, the border between the countries are too wide. I am a starter in Adobe Illustrator CS5, and I’ve tried 2 different ways to merge the countries:

  1)
  I’ve been trying on object/path/adjust path (I hope it’s called like that in english, I am working with german settings)
  In the window I can extent the path for some pixels, I choosed 4. But the problem I had was that the borderlines weren’t that exact anymore. They have an undiserable cartoon effect:

  2) I’ve tried to transform the scale of each country seperatly, but still it is much work and you can’t be sure if your scale is right and all countries together look good…

  Please help me, the deadline is coming soon and the world map looks totally unprofessional. Thanks for any advices!
