  • Problem with Illustrator CS2 and Importing in AE. Cropped Files

Ok i have Illustrator CS2 and I have a object that is bigger than the artboard. When I tried importing that file in After effects, it cropped my object where the artboard is in Illustrator. I have the first CS so I know about AICB Preserve appearance and overprints and I even created a box bigger than the artboard and made it as a crop mark but when I bring it in After effects it still cuts my object. Can anyone help me out please.
    Thanks
    Marco

Have you tried saving it in any of the legacy formats? CS, v.10,9 or 8? Try turning the “use compression” switch off when saving in CS2 format. I assume you’ve created the crop marks around the boundry of your artwork (outside the artboard boundaries). Not sure if that helps or not.
