    Hello,

I’m in a bit of pickle with an After Effects job and was hoping someone could help me out.

I have an image that i’d like to separate into multiple layers. I would like to avoid having to go through and create each individual layer (copy and paste style).

Basically I have a flattened PNG file with thousands of photos that are in a grid. They are spaced so that I can use the marquee tool to select the alpha channel. Then I invert the selection so now the marquee has selected every image on the grid.

Is there an automated way of creating a layer for all of these photos in one action? I really don’t want to go through and cut this image apart photo by photo, but I fear that may be my only option. Any help or work around would be GREATLY appreciated!

    Thanks!
