Activity Forums Adobe Photoshop Layers merging? Anybody?

    Not quite sure what you are wanting exactly. Whether you want the black or the white from A. But if you put B on Layer 1, place A on layer 2. Resize layer 2, since they are different sizes. Then select transfer mode – Multiply to leave the black, or screen to leave the white. Darken and Add both work as well, but I prefer Multiply and Screen.

    You might be looking for a vignette. There are many ways to make one. If you want exactly what was in image A on image B I would do the following:

    Put both images in the same file, on different layers>> Use the magic wand tool (w) set to 0-10 tolerance click on the white edge in image A>> click on your layer for Image B and hit delete.

    The vignette from A will not be applied to B
