  error message

  I occasionally get this message in Mac Preview after creating a psd file from JPEGs from a Canon camera.

  ‘this layered Photoshop file was not saved with a composite image’
  the photo is not shown, just this message.

  iMac Intell i3
  Mac OS 10.6
  Photoshop Mac vers CS 4

  any ideas what I am doing wrong?

  In PS preferences, check the maximize compatibility checkbox
