  Unwanted jagged edge to text in photoshop

  Hi Folks:

  I am trying to create crisp lettering that will be used for DVD jacket/inserts and I find that Adobe continually gives me lettering that has a jagged edge. Is there a setting where I can change this?
  I looked in all of the usual places but cant seem to find how to make the text crisp and at least 300 dpi etc. Here is a sample of my current text:

  Change the anti aliasing to smooth, also check that you have the correct font file installed, you might be missing the postscript or the screen file.
