Reconnecting Media
I’m working at a facility where all of the work is done off of a server that holds the media, project files and stock that we use. There was a lot of traffic on the server, so I collected the project to the local hard drive so I could work much faster. Then, when I put the project file back on the server, someone else tried to open the file and reconnect the media. When he pointed one of the pieces of media back to it’s position on the server, it didn’t reconnect everything else like it should. He ended up having to go through and reconnect every single piece of media manually which was crazy.
Is there a way to avoid something like this in the future?
